On Nov. 17, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy held the 33rd round of Energy Saving Contest at the 63 Building to award officials who contributed to saving energy. The event was attended by Kim Jung-kwan, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and 500 officials who contributed to saving energy and 112 awards, including 28 government prizes and 84 minister-level prizes, were given. The highest honor of the silver medal was given to Lee Soo Young, chief executive officer of KP Chemical. The company invested 34.7 billion won in ESCO project and energy equipment investment and save 27.4 billion won through energy saving.
