They have had transition lenses for glasses for awhile. I guess it is affordable enough for windows now. It would be really cool if they could collect solar electricity with tinted glass.
Wanna read about something really cool. Look up DARPA OLED night vision. It is a cheap(ish) film that makes any glass surface into night vision.
